INSTALASI WEBMIN DI CENTOS

instalasi webmin di CentOS linux

For me, light server but powerfull is very time effective. In this tutorial, instead of using putty, i try to utilize webmin as the gate to access my server. And below are the following steps to install webmin on CentOS Linux operating system.

1. Login as root.
2. Create source folder at /home/user, then download the software, webmin.
   [root@gateway user]# mkdir source
   [root@gateway user]# cd source/
   [root@gateway source]# wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/webadmin/webmin/1.530/webmin-1.530-1.noarch.rpm?r=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.webmin.com%2F&ts=1296789077&use_mirror=nchc
3. By using the rpm, install the software.
   [root@gateway source]# rpm -ivh webmin-1.530-1.noarch.rpm
   Preparing… ########################################### [100%]
   Operating system is CentOS Linux
   1:webmin ########################################### [100%]
   Webmin install complete. You can now login to http://gateway:10000/
   as root with your root password.
4. Well Done. Webmin application ready to be accessed through your favourite browser.
